CRASH! The Science of Collisions™ is provided to teachers in individual classroom units called Universal CRASH! Toolboxes™. Each Universal CRASH! Toolbox™ contains all the materials necessary for a class in Physics, Mathematics, Biology/Health, and General Science.
What exactly is contained in the Universal CRASH! Toolbox™?
For each discipline area (Physics, Mathematics, Biology/Health, and General Science), the Toolbox contains the necessary teacher’s manual, student worksheets, take-home activities, stop watches, tape measures, road templates, impaired driver tests, software, police reports, case file photos, and other items necessary for teachers to supervise and students to complete all the activities. The Video DVD Library, Computer Software Library CD, and the Resources CD contain digital copies of all consumable and distributable printed items.
Is CRASH! The Science of Collisions™ intended to replace courses?
Absolutely not. CRASH!™ is a set of in class and take home activities and exercises made available to teachers as supplemental resources. Teachers use the exercises to complement and enhance existing math and science courses in order to help them achieve their own objectives for each course.
Does CRASH!™ facilitate a team approach to teaching?
CRASH! The Science of Collisions™ was designed to be used effectively by a single classroom teacher. However, the interdisciplinary nature of the subject makes CRASH!™ an ideal tool for teachers who want to use it in an interdisciplinary setting.
Do teachers need to be technically oriented to fully utilize the Universal CRASH! Toolbox™ exercises and activities?
Although it is not required that CRASH! The Science of Collisions™ be taught by math and science teachers, it has been shown that the principles CRASH!™ covers can be presented most effectively by teachers who are comfortable with math and science concepts.

CRASH! The Science of Collisions™ has been tested in over 1,000 U.S. high schools over a period of 10 years, and has been revised and updated in order to maximize ease of use, enhance teaching effectiveness, and assure compatibility with national math and science standards.
